13 – 14 September 2014

In Japan, not only Fujisan, there are so many interesting mountains. Before the winter coming, it is a good time for trekking.

image

This time, I and my friends choose to climb up Kitadake (Mt. Kita ,北岳) where is on the Minami Alps in Kofu, Yamanashi prefecture. This trekking route will take about 8-9 hour to reach the top of Kitadake (3,193 meters).

Our main purpose is the same…

Actually, on this weekend, I have plan to climb up Minami Alps but the weather is not suitable for trekking. Then I change my direction directly from Tokyo to Nagoya.

image

My destination is 24 minutes on Aonami line from Nagoya to Kinjo-futo station. Nagoya SCMAGLEV and Railway Park where I really need to visit for long time before I’ve been to Saitama Railway Museum is located.

image

Nagoya SCMAGLEV and Railway Park is the museum showing my most interesting train which they call JR-Maglev or Linear. This train can speed up to 581km/hr with the power of Maglev Linear Motor. JR have done testing it last year and plan to make it on partial service on 2020, half service on 2027 between Tokyo – Nagoya and full service on 2045 between Tokyo – Osaka (quite long (- -‘)).

image

Actually, JR(Japan Rail) have started this project and tested since 1995 till finished testing last year. The thing is Japanese are surely waiting to ride on this train in 2020 also full service on 2045 that I can imagine how they are excited.

image

Nagoya SCMAGLEV and Railway Park not only have this special Maglev train, I also can enjoy the history of other trains like Shinkansen series 0 to 700 and many of classic railcars.

image

Nagoya SCMAGLEV and Railway Park is also my recommendation for museum lovers who travel to Japan. If you love museum and if you love train, you must visit Nagoya SCMAGLEV and Railway Park and also Saitama Railway Museum.

image

image

I wish on 2045 with my age that I still can catch Maglev Linear train speed to travel from Kanto to Kansai joyfully :D

Tokyo Two Towers
P1040683

During summer time, polar bear like me still enjoy shooting photos in Japan even I’m feeling so hot and dehydrated a lot. This time is the time for 2 huge constructions in the big city.

image

In Tokyo, two gigantic towers always remind me for two meanings.

image

First one is my most lovely tower … Tokyo tower, standing in the middle of Tokyo city, is ‘hopeful’.

When I have less energy or even feeling down,…

2 year passed since my last Hanabi here

image

I come back to see fireworks at Edogawa river again with the same excited feeling and environment that crowded.

image

Japanese love summer and one of many things in summer they love is absolutely the fireworks :)

image

One of the best moment in Japan for me is also Japanese in Yukata enjoy their summer festivals. I feel very lively even summer in Japan is very hot.

image

image

14,000 fireworks in summer will never make any disappointment on me and you all should try once :D

Very early morning at 4am, I go back to one place that I used to miss Fujisan view during last March. This place is called Shindotoge (新道峠). The place where you can see whole Kawaguchiko and lovely Fujisan stand in the background.

image

I attempted here last time and couldn’t manage to reach the view point because the path was full of snow. After taking a walk around 1 hour from the end of the road where a car can be moved, on that place, another 10 minute walk was needed to reach the view point but it’s too dangerous then I had to give up. But this time, car can be moved till the end of the road.

image

At 4am, don’t think it’s too early for June. Sun has risen a bit already and even this time I can manage to see Fujisan from Shindotoge but it’s too late to capture the light from small town around Kawaguchiko. I hope when the snow start falling to the top of Fujisan this year, I will be there again.

image

Apart from Shindotoge and moving to the new location where is near to Kawagushiko as well, this place is called Mitsutoge (三つ峠山). Between Shindotoge and Mitsutoge, trekking route is connected the places.

image

Before going back to Tokyo for taking a rest after restless night, Shojiko is last destination just to get fresh from drink and surrounding environment. A smalest lake in Kawaguchiko five lakes but you will see a lot of Japanese come to have activities here.

image

Fujisan in June is the time of entering to the summer. We will see this mountain in different colour as usual. It looks more green and less snow on top. On July, real summer without snow, Fujisan climbing is normally opened for everyone and I wish one day I will walk to see the view from top of it.

image

Anytime I travel to see my beloved mount Fujisan, I always say, see you again soon … Really soon :D

8 – 9 February 2014

Last weekend in Japan before I will come back to Thailand for 2 week vacation, Snow Festival 2014 in Sapporo is my destination.
Early morning in Tokyo, snow start falling as heavy snow forecast. Luckily that my flight is still flying on time to Shin-Chitose.

image

65th. Snow Festival or Yuki Matsuri is very big yearly event and it’s my first time here to see.

image

First day after arrived Sapporo, I enjoy traveling around 3 places of the festival till late evening. The weather is quite cold here ( -10 degree celsius).

image

AS usual, there is a contest on snow sculpture which Thailand team resulted in the third place. The name of sculpture is ‘The Kingdom of Thailand’ :D

image

After enjoy the matsuri and eating around for the whole afternoon, it’s time to take a rest for tomorrow plan to Otaru. I also have to wait and check my flight back to Tokyo because the effect of heavy snow is widespread in Japan.

image

image

Back to Otaru for the second time and this time is full of snow. Food here is still very good especially the sound of orgel. Really love it :D

image

Heading back to Shin-Chitose, and my flight is delayed from 9PM to midnight. Finally, I can manage to arrive my place in Tokyo around 4am. Even this trip is quite tough but it’s very good experience to see Snow Festival and Hokkaido still have a lot of places for me to visit.

image

I really love Hokkaido :D
